The reason why you need to get your Paypal Account verified is for you to be able to receive, send, purchase and withdraw with no limit on the amount. You will be needing a credit card or if you don't have one you can either use (for my fellow Filipinos) a Unionbank Eon Card or Smart Money.
> If you intend to use the two mentioned debit cards make sure you have $1.95. (around 100 pesos) available balance in you account. Don't worry this amount will be refunded to your Paypal account once verified.
If you have an existing SMART MONEY you can use it to vefify your Paypal Account. If none, I don't recommend on getting one. Why? Because you can only use that card for Paypal account verification, you cannot transfer funds from Paypal directly to SMART MONEY unlike Unionbank Eon card. So instead of applying for SMART MONEY, better apply for a Unionbank Eon card. You can use this card to verify, transfer funds from PP/AP direct to your Eon card and vise versa. Then withdraw funds using an ATM machine or use it as a debit card. Eon card application fee is 350 plus $1.95(100 pesos for Paypal Verification. Again, that verification fee will be refunded to your Paypal once verification process is complete.
If you still want to verify your Paypal Account using your SMART MONEY, here's how:
VERIFY PAYPAL Using SMART MONEY (For Filipinos
First you need to unlock Internet transaction on your smart money.
1. Using your smart mobile phone, text INTERNET to 343. Wait for the confirmation text.
2. Then go to SMART menu then choose SMART MONEY.
3. Choose INTERNET TXN and choose UNLOCK
4. Choose the name of the card you wish to unlock
5. Then you will be asked to enter your W-PIN. (Remember when you were applying for your SMART MONEY card, you were asked to enter a 6 digit number by the Smart Assisting Officer, that's your W-PIN)
6. Then a message will appear confirming your request.
7. Press YES. You will then be charged 1 pesos from your SMART MONEY Account.
Note: Make sure you have atleast 20 pesos airtime celphone load for the 2.50 per message sent. And make sure you have the $1.95 (just put atleast 200 pesos to your Smart Money Account). The $1.95 as mentioned above will be refunded to you Paypal Account once verification is complete.
8. After UNLOCKING your Card.. Immediately click on the Add Card button at Paypal
as SMART MONEY card Locks Automatically
9. If you receive a message saying Paypal cannot verify your account, just repeat step 1 to 7.
10. Then the Paypal 4-digit EXPUSE code will be sent to you via text message.
11. Log on to your Paypal account and enter that code.
12. You should receive a confirmation code that your Paypal Account has been verified.
Paypal will now add $1.95 to your Paypal as a refund for the Verification process.
This will take about 24 to 48 hours..
